Kia Ora Koutou,
One of my whanau told me about your kohanga. We have six young children in our home, 2 of which are at school. The other 4 are under 5 and we would like to enquire about enrolling them to kohanga. All of them were raised in Australia and although we instill our maori culture in them, we would still like for them to experience it themselves. We were heavily involved in maori customs back in New Zealand and would love for our tamariki to enjoy some of the joys of being Maori. If you are able to email me information in regards to this it would be greatly appreciated.
Kohanga relations aside, I was also relayed information in regards to Kapa Haka. I have not participated in kapa haka since being here in Australia, but was a member of the roopu Te Puawaitanga O Nga Hau E Wha from Auckland from the time I was 8 until I was 16 years old. My whanau are also keen to find a kapa haka group that we can all join.
i have a daughter who has just turned one and im looking for a kohanga as well as a kapa haka group in the sydney district i was just wondering if you could help me out. I would love for my daughter to be connected to her maori heritage in many ways possible but i just cant seem to find a kohanga reo or a kapa hakagroup any where, if you are able to help me out it will be greatly appreciated.
