BYDC Christmas fellowship 2012

The last activity for our kohanga each year is the Christmas fellowship at Brisbane Youth Detention Centre. Every year on the Sunday before Christmas, a small group of kohanga whanau visit young people and share a christmas message, waiata, whakawhanaungatanga time together.

This year our rangatira Jo & Makarite Makene and our kohanga team spent a brief afternoon on Sunday 23 December 2012 with our rangatahi in song and fellowship, as well as playing some Maori games.

Kia ora to our whanau that tautoko young people in detention, especially matua Joe and whaea makarite – kia ora korua mo to awhi me nga aroha. Kia ora also to Tracey, JJ, Di, Lette and staff at BYDC who support our kohanga each year, with this kaupapa. He mihi aroha ki a koutou katoa

Now our kohanga is on a short break until the new year….. Mere Kirihimete koutou katoa me nga tau hou!
